Microsoft partnered with CRG for the second year of the Business Intelligence Conference to coordinate logistics, registration, housing and payment collection. After planning the inaugural event in 2007, CRG was able to leverage our experience to execute an efficient planning process for 2008. Over the course of the three-day conference, CRG managed the general session, 21 breakout sessions, marketing and promotional opportunity fulfillment, an Expo Hall with 39 Exhibitors, Chalk Talk areas and Hands-on Labs stations, a Welcome Reception, Partner Expo Reception and an Attendee Appreciation Party at Qwest Field.
For MS BIC, the CRG registration team supported the attendees from the time they registered online or through our customer service center to checking in onsite. CRG also managed the attendee hotel block with four Seattle hotels, facilitated visa letter requests for international attendees, processed the event payments made through CRG’s registration website, and distributed smartcard badges and conference bags upon check-in.
CRG is always conscientious of cost savings and green planning. By removing the date from the logo, we were able to reuse signage and banners. We ordered compostable utensils and plates, composted leftover food onsite, downsized the conference guide, reused items from previous years, set up water coolers and passed out reusable bottles instead of providing plastic disposable water bottles.
