CRG Events is committed to the conservation of our environmental resources. We seek to become an industry leader in earth-friendly practices in both our office and events by:
Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling
CRG Events adopts policies and practices to reduce waste, reuse supplies, and recycle unneeded materials to achieve neutral or positive impact on our environment.
Educating Ourselves and our Partners
CRG Events provides educational opportunities and resources to its employees, clients, event attendees, and fellow industry partners so that we may all become better stewards of the environment.
As part of our green policy we:
- Strive to use all recycled paper products, including in copy machines and in collateral materials.
- Use paperless event registration technology. All attendee event information, registration communications and confirmations are electronic.
- Provide recycling bins throughout our offices and at all event venues and hotels.
- Work to educate employees, vendors, clients and attendees on impacts of green efforts vs. non-green efforts.
- Work with vendors and clients to produce “green” events. This includes (but is not limited to) event registration websites, event venue, event collateral, food and beverage, exhibition, hotel, and transportation.
- Make every effort to work with venues, vendors and clients that have green policies and practices.
- Recycle all recyclable materials at our office and at all event venues and hotels.
- Use electronic documents instead of paper whenever possible.
- Book the fewest flights possible in order to reduce carbon emissions.
- Encourage employees, vendors, clients and attendees to use environmentally preferable transportation options.
- Choose meeting venues and hotels that are within walking distance since transportation has a huge impact on the environment, especially when you’re moving thousands of people.
- Seek out hotel properties and other venues that are making a concerted effort to provide earth-friendly services and solutions.
- Encourage employees to work from home when appropriate, therefore reducing carbon emissions.
- Recycle old computers.
- Turn off lights and monitors when we don’t need them.
- Reuse office supplies, such as file folders.
